Archbishop Paul Coakley


    Most Reverend Paul S. Coakley was installed as Archbishop of Oklahoma City in February, 2011. He formerly served as Bishop of Salina from 2004 to 2011. Before his Episcopal ordination, he served as a parish priest in the Diocese of Wichita from the time of his ordination in 1983. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in 1977 from the University of Kansas, and then studied at Mount St. Mary Seminary in Emmitsburg, MD. He earned his S.T.L. from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome in 1987. 
    Archbishop Coakley currently serves as Episcopal Advisor to the National Association of Catholic Chaplains, and on the Board of Regents for Conception Seminary College, the Bishops Advisory Council for the Institute of Priestly Formation, the Episcopal Advisory Board for the National Conference of Diocesan Vocation Directors, the Catholic Extension Board of Governors, the Board of Trustees for The Catholic University of America, the Advisory Board of Aquinas College, the Episcopal Advisory Board of Augustine Institute, and on several committees of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
